Make It Happen by Lara Casey

Photo taken by Laura Moody at a retail shopping center.
The wild violet's will to survive in a cement world is apparent!

This week I found much comfort in the words of Lara Casey. She is the author of a book entitled Make It Happen which gives readers insight into her own journey, her successes and hiccups, as well as reveals her desire to be a light for Christ in spite of challenging circumstances.

She offers ideas and suggestions on how to live free and move forward as you grow daily with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The author has a web site with downloadable power points to encourage readers as well as web sites with details on her magazine and workshop conferences.

Visit http://makingthingshappen.com and http://laracaseymedia.com to learn more.

May you experience much peace and joy this very day!

Prince Therapy

On route to Trader Joe's (http://traderjoes.com/) recently I saw a business sign that said PRINCE THERAPY. It made me smile, laugh and giggle because isn't that the truth?

Run to your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, with your every need and he helps you, meeting you right where you are, ready to comfort you and reassure you that He, the God of the Universe, has a plan for your life. He is leading you in the Way Everlasting!

Follow Him daily as He guides you gently and presents you with signs and wonders of His Great Love!

I placed Psalm 23 from the Holy Bible in the right column of this blog. The analogy present is that people are like sheep. Sheep need a lot of tender loving care. People are the same way. We need Jesus, the Good Shepherd, to guide us here on earth.

Only the Lord knows what is best for us daily. If we let him lead and we yield to his will, He will teach us to truly live! His plan for each person is wonderful! He wants nothing more than to have a relationship with us in order to share his love as he grows us into whom he needs us to be for His purposes.

If you let him, Jesus will walk with you on the journey, talk to you regularly and coach you every day on how to live the incredible life He has planned just for you!

Psalm 32:8 from the Holy Bible (NIV) says:

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

Fall into the arms of Jesus and He will never let you go!

Our Lord and Savior is only a prayer away. Invite Him into your life today!

p.s. Prayer may be silent thoughts or words said out loud that are directed towards Jesus. He will understand your communication either way. :)

True Love is Never-Ending :)

Have you seen this quote before?

A true love story never ends!

You were created by God. He loved you that much that he wanted you to live in order to have a relationship with Him. This my friends is a true love story!

Wishing you an incredible exciting journey with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

I Surrender

What makes you melt? Or rather, what enables you to immediately give up all your defenses and just be, as you are, wildly imperfect, without concern or worry, just filled with peace and joy? Anything come to mind?

Is it a certain food perhaps? I know that for many women, chocolate has this effect for too little a time span!
I really like chocolate. I grew up with Hershey’s kisses and these days have graduated to chocolate companies formed more recently that sport unique flavors and label their packaging with USDA organic to lure the health conscious: Theo (https://www.theochocolate.com/) and Lake Champlain (http://www.lakechamplainchocolates.com) for instance.
My wonderful discovery this month has been Tate’s Chocolate Chip cookies! (http://www.tatesbakeshop.com) They are sold online as well as in certain retail locations like Costco. I had never seen the brand before but the name of the product was fresh and the photos on the back of the box featured lovely gardens and images of the cookie baking in process. All the images were appealing because 1) I love to spend time in the garden and 2) I appreciate a well captured image in digital pixel or on film!
Each of the 42 cookies tasted wonderful. The recipe was a perfect mix of ingredients. Yep, I surrendered to my desire for chocolate during that visit to Costco and was rewarded with a yummy edible product from Tate’s Bake Shop, even if it did come in a box verses my own oven.

I believe that this is exactly the type of surrendering that our Lord has in mind for all people. Every day, several times a day, God is blessing each of us with wonderful things and experiences that are good. Are your eyes open to seeing them? Our Lord is knocking at your heart, calling you to have a relationship with Him. Are you aware? I pray so!
Surrender to our Lord's Goodness as the Holy Bible says in these verses.
Psalm 34:8 Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Our Lord wants shower you with blessings every day as you learn more about Him.
No doubt your life is complicated. There have been trials and some moments of happiness but I tell you the truth, incredible blessings are waiting. Gifts from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ are available for those who believe in his Holy name. We will know our Lord and Savior personally and spend eternity with the King of the Universe!
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Our Lord's promises are oh so much better than a purchase of chocolate. Edible satisfaction is finite and a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ is everlasting! His blessings and treats will far outweigh any of the earthly ones. Grow in your relationship with God, seeking to understand His Word, the Holy Bible, by reading it often. Also pray often and your trust in Him will grow more and more. Only our Lord Jesus has the ability to satisfy and bring the ultimate peace to our lives that He so wants us to enjoy.

1 Corinthians 2:9
However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those who love him—

Wishing you an incredible day as this is the first day of the rest of your life! Seek the Lord. Your journey will be one exquisite encounter!

Love, Laura

Patient Heal Thyself by Jordan Rubin

Dear Friends – Life is challenging enough without having to worry about our health constantly! Please take some tips from Jordan Rubin, founder of Garden of Life, and author of 3 books on restorative health.

I am reading Patient Heal Thyself and it offers clear explanation as to why our bodies have trouble functioning well, especially when we do not feed ourselves nutrients that are regularly absent from our modern diets.
His company Garden of Life offers several food supplement products and in particular, the grocery store Whole Foods carries them if you wish to secure them from a store location versus an online web site.
Please check out this Amazon review site to learn more about his text Patient Heal Thyself and its important dietary information.
Reading Patient Heal Thyself has been a wonderful source. I now know more details on how to treat my body right. We only get one of these and discovering preventative efforts to keep it healthy is a prudent endeavor!
Have a great week! <>< Laura

Happy July 4th! - The Pledge of Allegiance

At church last week we watched a Ben Carson video - https://www.youtube.com/embed/i-Foz-EjZ3g.

One of my favorite parts of his speech is when he states to the college students that what he has to say will not be politically correct! That made me smile. :)

I include the web site address so that those of you who receive my posts via e-mail will receive it.* When you visit my blog web site, you will see the video present and you just have to click the arrow button in the middle of it to start the presentation.

As I continued to listen to Ben Carson's speech, it occurred to me that children today probably have no idea what the Pledge of Allegiance is. When I was a child, I attended public school. Each morning, at the beginning of the announcements, the students and teacher would all stand and face the American flag that was hanging in the room and then say out loud the words to The Pledge of Allegiance. I wanted to type them here in my blog in case it will be new information to some readers.

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Here is a link with more information on the topic:

Wishing you a lovely holiday weekend! Peace - Laura
